Goldstein Catherine
Professor
Catherine Goldstein is a French mathematician and historian of mathematics. She is director of research at the Institute of Mathematics of Jussieu. In 1995-96 and 1998 she was guest professor at the Max-Planck Institute for the History of Science in Berlin. Catherine Goldstein began her career in number theory. Since the 1990s, she has worked mainly on the history of this theory and its actors, such as Fermat, Hermite and Gauss.
